The COVID-19 pandemic has had an undeniable and profound impact on the workforce. Whether through job loss, remote work, or taking on new duties and safety practices, everyone in Niagara has felt its effects on their working lives.
Effective local recovery strategies will require insights directly from the people who have been impacted by the virus – in other words, from you.
The Labour Market Insights Survey takes only 5 minutes to complete, and will give Niagara residents the opportunity to share how the last six months have impacted both their employment, and their mental health. We’re looking for responses from people who are employed, unemployed, and self-employed. If you are of working age in Niagara, we want to hear from you.
NWPB developed the Labour Market Insight Survey as a way to gain important data on the status and needs of Niagara’s working population, which could be shared with local employers and policy makers. Though we had extensive experience in surveying employers with the Employer One Survey, community consultation identified a need for producing local data that would support employers and the workforce alike in understanding the employment motivations, desires, and challenges of Niagara’s residents. The Labour Market Insights Survey was created to fill that need.
