Making Community Connections

NWPB’s Immigrant Mentorship Program, also known as the Niagara Immigrant Connections Initiative, helps us serve Niagara’s newcomers and employers alike by helping local immigrants grow their networks and learn about their industries within a Canadian context, thus easing their transition into finding work in their new community. We connect these Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs) with established local professionals within our community, creating fantastic opportunities for both parties to grow their skills and enhance their careers.

Our resources for newcomers don’t end at mentorship, however. We also provide several jobseeking tools here on our website, including our local job board, to help newcomers find work in Niagara. Additionally, we maintain strong relationships with our local Employment Ontario partners, who can provide further personal guidance to new immigrants as they integrate into the local community and workforce. In combination with the skills and connections built through our mentorship program, Niagara’s ITPs are equipped with powerful tools for continuing their careers as Canadian citizens.
